A YJA Moment - The Mythic Avengers (Part I)

Mary Bromfield is the twin sister of Billy Batson, who was Captain Marvel of the modern era.  Separated for many years, they reunited and she joined the Marvel Family as the Mary Marvel.  When Billy was believed dead in the Watchtower Incident, Mary took on the role of Captain Marvel, a role she continues in the Mythic Avengers.  Mary continues to strive to live up to the legacy of the mantle of Shazam, inspired by both the successes of her brother Billy and also the trials of her father C.C.  Despite her naive and trusting demeanor, Mary is well-traveled and has had many adventures, most of which remained unchronicled.  These have given her experiences that many of the other Avengers lack.

Adrasteia of Themyscira, known to her team as Kentauride, has been in search of an identity for some time.  Feeling unwanted on Paradise Island, she journeyed to New York to join the Hammond School, quickly being thrust into the role of a member of the Avengers. Through that she has found family, both old and new - her mother and Cheiron were resurrected by Zeus as repayment of a debt, and she has discovered Harmonia, a "sister" from a lost timeline.  She has also become the regent of Outworld, a dimensional pocket linked to the multiverse, where she has made a sanctuary for other mythical creatures.  As a warrior of centuries worth of experience, she is the tactical master of the Mythic Avengers.

Queen Melinoe the goddess of nightmares, the daughter of Hades and Persephone. Enamored with the mortal world and unwilling to accept the duties of an Underworld Royal, Mel escaped to New York City, where she ended up joining the Mythic Avengers.  Over the years with the team she has undergone many changes - through her interaction with Dream of The Endless, she regained her monstrous form and was given an enchanted blade.  She began a relationship with Loki and using the Reality Stone, created a family for them both. Having been elevated to rulership, she contemplates a future where she still is both Queen of Asgard and of the Greek Underworld as well.
