A YJA Moment - The Mythic Avengers (Part II)

Loki Laufeyson, King of Asgard has been cast as a villain for many years, culminating in his alliance with Thanos in the Battle of New York.  Casting off the bounds of fate, Loki took on the mantle of the Thunder God when his brother was believed killed in the Watchtower Incident. As a member of the Mythic Avengers, he has developed a relationship with Melinoe, the goddess of nightmares, and finds himself as both a husband and new father due to the effects of the Reality Stone.  Though still as charming and mercurial as ever, Loki has allowed the threads of Fate to bind him into the role of the hero but one on his own terms.  Being one of the premier heroes on Earth has its advantages, even more so as he now has risen to the Throne of Asgard.

Kurt Wagner, known in the X-Men as Nightcrawler.  The genetic offspring of the gargoyles Demona and Goliath, the unpredictability of fae magic, and Demona's curse has turned him into a mutant human with the power of teleportation.  Initially an unofficial member of the team, he eventually became a full member after the Xavier Mansion was destroyed by the Sentinels.  His growing relationship with Kentauride, as well as the revelations of his origins, has put him under a great emotional strain. However, as someone who spends most of his life apart from society, the knowledge that in addition to his mutant teammates, he has a literal family who accepts him unconditionally is an opportunity that he cannot pass up.

Tim Drake is the third Robin, the traditional partner of Batman.  Unlike Dick, Jason, or Damien, Tim was not chosen for the role.  An accomplished amateur detective, he discovered Bruce's identity on his own.  After years of serving as Batman's side-kick, he eventually joined Young Justice.  During missions with the Avengers, he became close with Mary Marvel and ended up joining the Mythic Avengers.  Somewhat torn between his devotion to Bruce, his growing relationship with Mary, and his duties in various hero capacities, Robin often has to take leaves-of-absence.  This is unfortunate because he is the main technological expert for the team.

A YJA Moment - The Mythic Avengers (Part I)

Mary Bromfield is the twin sister of Billy Batson, who was Captain Marvel of the modern era.  Separated for many years, they reunited and she joined the Marvel Family as the Mary Marvel.  When Billy was believed dead in the Watchtower Incident, Mary took on the role of Captain Marvel, a role she continues in the Mythic Avengers.  Mary continues to strive to live up to the legacy of the mantle of Shazam, inspired by both the successes of her brother Billy and also the trials of her father C.C.  Despite her naive and trusting demeanor, Mary is well-traveled and has had many adventures, most of which remained unchronicled.  These have given her experiences that many of the other Avengers lack.

Adrasteia of Themyscira, known to her team as Kentauride, has been in search of an identity for some time.  Feeling unwanted on Paradise Island, she journeyed to New York to join the Hammond School, quickly being thrust into the role of a member of the Avengers. Through that she has found family, both old and new - her mother and Cheiron were resurrected by Zeus as repayment of a debt, and she has discovered Harmonia, a "sister" from a lost timeline.  She has also become the regent of Outworld, a dimensional pocket linked to the multiverse, where she has made a sanctuary for other mythical creatures.  As a warrior of centuries worth of experience, she is the tactical master of the Mythic Avengers.

Queen Melinoe the goddess of nightmares, the daughter of Hades and Persephone. Enamored with the mortal world and unwilling to accept the duties of an Underworld Royal, Mel escaped to New York City, where she ended up joining the Mythic Avengers.  Over the years with the team she has undergone many changes - through her interaction with Dream of The Endless, she regained her monstrous form and was given an enchanted blade.  She began a relationship with Loki and using the Reality Stone, created a family for them both. Having been elevated to rulership, she contemplates a future where she still is both Queen of Asgard and of the Greek Underworld as well.
